Strip Poker Online – Adding Zest To A Boring Game

Strip Poker OnlineStrip poker is just like any other poker game. The difference in playing strip poker is that players strip items of clothing when they lose a bet. Strip poker has been with us for ages, and contrary to popular belief, strip poker is originally not a sensual, erotic game. Poker developed hundreds of years ago, and strip poker originated from the basic game of poker. Because poker enables one to win while others are losing, the losers then can bet their clothing. This is to take back their cash from the winning opponent. Before, items of clothing are considered of special value.

Strip poker is played like a regular poker game. But strip poker sometimes entice non-poker players to get hooked in the game, a feat that cannot be done by regular poker games. Strip poker adds zest to a dying party. It can bring fun back to your poker games. There are as many strip poker variations as regular poker game variations.

Sometimes, strip poker is used as a kind of foreplay and sometimes it is considered as a way of flirting. Strip poker games can have speedy, medium or slow stripping modes. Excitement can either be withheld or let loose. Speedy strip poker games can start like a regular poker game, but everyone (except the winner of course) removes an item of clothing. This is a very fast way and very good excuse for stripping naked, not to mention this will give you great motivation in playing poker. Medium mode stripping in a strip poker game means that the winner is the only person who is not stripping, but the losers have the option to buy back clothes in the coming rounds. The slowest way of stripping via a strip poker game is when only the person with the lowest poker score will be the one who will strip.

There are countless variations of this game. One variation even makes use of poker chips and that when you lose all your poker chips, you will be required to bet your clothing. This is yet another slow methodif your only objective is to strip. However, stripping in a strip poker game will most likely be for the benefit of the game only, and not just about the stripping per se.

Some strip poker games have been popular. In Jamaica, there is even a strip poker international competition! They employed 4 super models to play strip poker, and the winner takes on serious money. However, this is a for adults only event. And it is very unlikely to see strip poker in the Olympic games! Although, we all know that you’d love to see strip poker players from all over the world battle out for the gold medal.

Because of strip poker’s popularity, there have been thousand of sites dedicated to the game. It can range from intimate poker play, to party poker type games. Also, because of the advent of cyber online technology, strip poker is already available online. Some strip poker games have poker chips, money bets and stripping all combined in the touch of a button, or click of a mouse. Some strip poker sites even has strippers available online. Through a hefty credit card application and registration, one can avail of hours of online strip poker gaming. Some online strip poker sites have pictures that strip as you win, but some have real time strippers that you can view stripping via a web camera. Strip poker, just like any other adult game or enterprise, is regulated in most parts of the world. Some more liberal nations, such as those in Europe have strip poker TV shows! The difference between that and American strip poker shows is that the Euro version allows total nakedness via a TV broadcast!

Whether you are playing strip poker for your foreplay, or as a form of a sexual tease, whether you are playing strip poker party version or just adding the element of stripping to a rather boring game, no one can contest the hours of enjoyment that can only be attributed to poker… Strip poker that is!

Protecting yourself when gambling online can be difficult if you are new to online gambling. Not all online casinos found on the internet are legitimate. The first thing a person must do is acquire as much information as he can on the legitimacy of a casino. There are numerous websites that have written reviews on casinos which will help a person determine whether a casino is a scam or not. Some online casinos will have a statement issued on its site that Players gamble at their own risk. Keep away from such sites.

Risks in Online GamblingMost of the new gamblers online have the habit of making a rush decision when choosing an online casino. They never take the time to do a proper research of the casino to verify whether it is secure enough to gamble at. A legitimate online casino should have a license, 24/7 customer support, promotional bonuses, good software for its games and give clear instructions on its payout schemes.

Learn to stick to your gambling budget when placing a bet online. Don’t lose control when you are losing and start digging into your bank account to get more money to continue playing. Know when to quit and don’t hold onto the belief that the more you play will enable you to win back the money you lost. This type of thinking will make you so frustrated and determined to play more that you will eventually become a compulsive gambler.

Choose an online casino that offers a variety of free games for you to play so that you can get familiar with the games and improve your skill at it. Refrain from playing at casinos that offer betting special offers instead of free games. You will have a better chance of winning by playing free games to improve your gaming skills than play at a casino which only offers betting special offers if you join.

The rules of an internet casino site will not be the same as that of other internet casino sites. So always be clear about the rules in each online casino you play at so that you don’t encounter any problems with the games and payments in case you happen to win. Only play at online casinos that offer games that you enjoy. Also, make sure that the game software is easy to download into you computer. Legitimate online casinos will always have the latest gaming software and if your computer is an old one you will definitely have problems downloading the software. Invest in a good computer by upgrading your existing one or by purchasing a new one.

By doing so, you will be able to enjoy the many games offered by these legitimate sites. Minimizing risks in gambling will only be a success if you take the time to do your homework and learn about the pros and cons of online casinos. This will not only increase your chances of winning but will also lessen the problems that you will encounter in the gambling world.

The 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event was the largest single tournament in the history of poker. It was attended by a record shattering 8,773 entrants paying $10,000 each to enter. Harrah’s had originally only planned for 8,000 participants. The previous record of 5,619 players was set at the 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event. This huge number of players resulted in the creation of a prize pool that reached a mind numbing $82,512,162 in size. Poker fans were able to watch the final table live through ESPN Pay-Per-View as well as on their V CAST enabled cell phones. They along with the entire world watched to see who would win the first place prize which reached a never before amount in the World Series of Poker of $12,000,000.

Online Poker Main EventOver the 10 days in which the tournament was played, players from all over the globe, both men and women, sat down at the tables. They ranged from those who just turned 21 such as Jeff Madsen to 91 year old Victor Golden to women champions like Cyndy Violette and actress Jennifer Tilly. And this year one online poker room sponsored a chimpanzee named Mikey the Chimp to play at the tables. Everyone laughed at the idea, except Harrah’s who declined the chimp’s entry into the tournament. In order to handle such a large turnout, the field of players was split up into 4 groups of 2,000 players with additional alternates for each day. For those who don’t know, the alternates were individuals who could not be seated at the start of the tournament because there simply were not enough seats. Based on the order in which they registered, they were then seated as original contestants were being eliminated during the first couple of hours of play.

Action over Day 1, which was spread out over 4 days, proved to be very intense with the sole object being to just survive to the next round. So many entrants who tried very hard to stay in the tournament went out in a bad way. For example, actor James Garner was in a hand with the board showing K 3 2 after the flop. Garner called another player’s bet and the next card was a K. His opponent bets again and Garner calls. River card was a K. The opponent goes all in and Garner called with a level of confidence showing pocket 5’s for a full house. He was eliminated when the other player quickly produced K J for 4 of a kind Kings. In a different hand, two players at a table went all in with one having pocket 8’s and the other pocket 5’s. The flop showed 6s 5s 5c giving one player a huge smile as he flopped 4 of a kind. But the smile went away when the remaining cards were dealt, because the other player received everything he needed for a straight flush.

Eliminations continued by the hundreds with both seasoned top professional players and those who earned their seats online going to the sidelines each day. But some individuals soon began to stand out from the crowd. On Day 3 chip leader Jamie Gold led the pack and never relinquished his lead all the way to the final table. Erik Friberg, Doug Kim and Dan Nassif took their skills from the Internet to the real tables after qualifying for their seats online which cost much less than the $10,000 entry fee many paid. Intelligence helped paved the way for Michael Binger who has a PhD in theoretical particle physics. Professional player Allen Cunningham never really deviated from his playing style outside of not taking unnecessary risks with his chips. Paul Wasika, Richard Lee and Rhett Butler combined an understanding of the game with the luck so many prayed for to gain massive piles of chips. After 9 days, these fortunate players were the ones who would make history at this year’s final table.

At the final table Jamie Gold continued his overall dominance of the action by taking out Dan Nassif, Erik Friberg, Richard Lee, Rhett Butler, Michael Binger and pro player Allen Cunningham. Paul Wasicka sent Doug Kim to the rail after his pocket Q’s overcame Doug’s pocket 9’s in an all-in hand. And six hands after eliminating Michael Binger, Jamie Gold won the heads up with Paul Wasicka and became the champion of the tournament.

By the time it was all over it was figured that the 8,773 players was a 58 percent increase over the number who entered in 2005. Harrah’s anticipates exceeding this record-breaking number and others in 2007. Jeffrey Pollack, the Commissioner of the WSOP, has said there is a lot of room for growth and that is what he is focused on improving. So with the direction things have been taking over the past 3 years in the WSOP, you can count on next year being even bigger and better than this one turned out to be.

Are you tired of losing while playing Texas Holdem Poker online? When we play online poker we all expect to be big winners. We have all read the stories and have seen the online players go on to become big time Texas Hold'em Pokermoney winners in the biggest event of all – The World Series of Poker. Unfortunately, when most beginners start out they end up losing money. Then in an effort to win back what they have lost, they end up losing even more. So, how do you avoid becoming like most beginners? If you are in the midst of a big losing streak, how do you get to playing winning poker? Well…

The first thing that I would do is to completely analyze my game to find out what I am doing wrong. Ask yourself questions such as:

Am I playing way too many hands?

Am I paying attention to how the others at the table are betting?

Do I play aggressively? Passively?

Does my position at the table influence what I do at the poker table?

Am I playing at the correct limits for my skill level?

We are going to take a look at these questions one at a time. But beware; the answer to winning is in all of these. Don’t just take one of the suggestions and incorporate it. Use all of it. Why? Because it will work for you.

Am I playing way too many hands?

Simply put, you may be playing too many hands. Start by tightening up and playing only the absolute best hands. I would recommend that you only play AA, KK, A-K, QQ. Then when you start to win with these hands slowly introduce other hands into your game. Add JJ first. When you are successful with JJ then add 10-10 and so on.

Am I paying attention to how the others at the table are betting?

The answer here is simple. Pay attention. Does your opponent in seat #1 always bet no matter what they have? Are they super tight and only play the best hands? Do they just call? A lot can be learned about what types of players are at the table and what type of hands they may have just by simple observation.

Do I play aggressively? Passively?

Aggression is rewarded in Texas Holdem Poker. Being a passive player and only calling bets usually means that you are being a generous donor to the others at the table. Playing aggressively does not mean playing every hand and betting. It means playing the best hands and playing them aggressively. Typically a bet will force opponents with weak hands to fold. You don’t want players hanging around to see a flop for free. Don’t give them the opportunity to connect with it and beat your hand. The fewer the number of players in the hand the greater the value of your already powerful hand.

Does my position at the table influence what I do at the poker table?

Beware of your position at the table. When you are seated in late position you have the advantage of seeing how the others act. If you are seated in early position you have no information on how your opponent has acted and how strong their hand may be. I’d recommend playing hands cautiously in early position.

Am I playing at the correct limits for my skill level?

The higher the limits, the better the competition tends to be. There is nothing wrong with dropping down from say, playing $1/$2 blinds to .50/$1 or even less and then working your way up when you feel comfortable. If you feel the need, then play at the free tables a little. Remember though, you’ll have a tendency to play differently for free than when real money is at stake.

So to recap our strategy to get you on the winning path:

1 – Play only the best hands and then add other hands as you begin to win.

2 – Pay attention and learn about your opponents.

3 – Play the hands that you do play aggressively.

4 – Use your position at the table to your advantage as well as assessing hand strength.

5 – Drop down in the limits that you are currently playing and if necessary spend some time at the free tables.

These are all simple steps that you can immediately incorporate into your game to get you on the winning path. Follow them and you can be a successful Texas Holdem Poker player.

The great thing about playing poker online is that you can pretty much play whenever you have some free time. Got 30 minutes to spare? Then just sign on, find a game you like and start playing. It’s really that simple.

The only problem as I see it, there are so many different places to play online, how do you choose? By whoever offers the biggest bonus? The fanciest looking site?

online poker roomWhen looking for a place to play online, consider how long the card room has been in business for – 4-5 years is a long time in the online gaming world. Sites associated with professional poker players also are more likely to be reputable – the theory being that they don’t want to be associated with a shady outfit. The pro players do not want to put their reputations on the line.

You can belong to more than one online casino or poker room as I do. Some poker rooms offer a better sign up bonus, some have better or more frequent freeroll tournaments. Another may have easier ring games. There is no limit to the number of poker rooms that you can join.

Do some research at a site that you trust which reviews online casino and poker rooms. Start out by making a small deposit. Try out the software and see if the site fits your needs. Does the site offer games at the limits that you want? Is it easy to withdraw cash? Are there enough players online when you are likely to play so that you’ll always have a good game available?

By checking out the lobby of an online site you will get to see who the players are in a particular game, the percentage of flops that they are seeing – which helps you find a tight or loose game, the number of hands being played per hour.

The most profitable games will be the ones that have larger than average pots and a high percentage of players that are seeing the flop.

Because of the relative ease that players have in switching tables, playing during lunch or before dinner means that at times you will be playing in shorthanded games.

When you are playing in a shorthanded game you should expect to play in a greater number of games. You should expect to play more hands as the value of low pairs now increases. The value of drawing hands will also decrease because there typically not enough players in the hand to make the pot large enough to chase.

Just about all online casinos have games that start out at limits as low as .05/.10 which are great for a beginner and increase in increments small enough so that you can slowly get acclimated to playing for larger pots. Of course if you prefer to go to the higher limit or no limit games, there is no shortage of these either.

One important note, if you are going to play on line, open an account with NetTeller (www.netteller.com) because most credit card companies will not allow you to deposit directly into an online casino account. Netteller will accept the credit card payments into an account and you can transfer in and out of it from there. Just about every online casino deals with them.

Poker Tips – Poker Rules- Online Poker

Amarillo Slim, a professional poker player and best friend to casino mogul Benny Binion, once said, ‘If you can’t spot the sucker within the first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.’ There are few poker rules, the more formal the setting the more restrictive the rules. If you’ve ever wanted to know how to play poker, either at a table or online poker, you’ve come to the right place.

History

What beats what in online pokerThough the history of poker is debatable, it is known that a card game was commonly played in New Orleans in 1829, though only with a 20-card deck. As the game spread West along with the gold rushers, it changed a bit and eventually the English 52-card deck was incorporated, bringing the flush with it. Versions of the game like draw and stud poker were introduced during the American Civil War, along with the straight. By the early 1900’s, the wild card, split-pot and lowball poker were being played around the US.

In 1970, the first World Series of Poker was played. As poker gained popularity, books and movies about strategies began to appear. Televised poker games have added to the popularity of the game.

Terminology and Poker Rules
All-in – to place all of your tokens or money for bet
Ante – forced bet at the beginning of each game, each player plays the same number of tokens or money in the pot
Blind – forced bet by one or two players before the start of a hand, in addition to the ante. Blind players usually rotate one player before or after the button.
Bluff – to bet or raise with an inferior hand in an attempt to raise the pot and/or force others to fold
Button – a token or coin rotated around a table to mark the dealer.
Call – to accept the bet amount from previous player, without raising it
Community Card – some variations of poker call for one or more community cards, where some poker cards are dealt face up for all to use to make a hand
Dealer – person who deals cards. Poker is usually dealt in a round, dealing one card to each player until desired cards are possessed by each player. Dealer is last in the round.
Flop – when community cards are used, the first three are referred to as the flop
Four of a Kind – four cards, with or without wild cards, that are of the same value (four 3’s, four Aces)
Flush – five cards of the same suit (a 2, 5, 7, 10 and Jack of spades, for example)
Full House – three cards of one value and two cards of another value (three 4’s and two 6’s, for example)
Jackpot – the total of all money and/or tokens bet during any hand; also called the pot
Kicker – when a winning set of cards are the same (each player has a pair of Kings, for example) the kicker is used as a tie breaker. Each of the tying players use their next highest card as their kicker (a Queen outranks a 10, for example)

Limit – maximum bet allowed per game
Pair – two of the same valued card
Poker Face – a face that does not reveal anything about the players hand
Push – to put yourself all-in
Raise – to add to the bet the previous player made
Royal Flush – 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace, all of the same suit
Straight – five cards in numerical succession (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, for example)
Straight Flush – five cards in numerical succession all of the same suit (8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, all hearts, for example)

How to Play Poker

A typical poker game is a version known as draw poker. The dealer deals five cards to each player. Each player antes. Players look at but do not share information about their cards. The players bet by placing tokens or money into the pot, starting with the player to the dealers left and continuing around the table. Each player than chooses the number of cards to trade to the dealer, receiving new cards from the deck. Betting repeats. Player with the highest hand wins. If two players have winning hands, the tie is broken with the kicker. Below is a list of possible card hands, from strongest to weakest:

Royal Flush
Straight Flush
Four of a Kind
Full House
Flush
Straight
Three of a Kind
Two Pair
Pair
High Card or Kicker

Player with the strongest hand wins the jackpot. Button is rotated to the left and the player possessing the button deals the next hand.

Online Poker

Online poker has become a very popular way to play cards. In addition to being easy to access, it is far less intimidating than entering a brick and mortar casino. Betting options are more varied, from penny-ante to $1000 ante. Overhead for online poker is dramatically less than traditionally casinos, the only physical space they need is for servers and for customer support. Online venues also offer security of fewer player collusion opportunities as they have sophisticated software to check IP addresses, betting patterns, past hands and table set ups.

Four World Series of Poker players started as online players, eventually winning a spot in the tournament. It was thought that online players were less skilled than table players, but when Chris Moneymaker, one of the online entrants, won the championship, that changed.

Versions

There are countless versions of poker, here are some:
Stud – either five or seven card, there are no additional cards dealt beyond the first round

Texas Hold’em – usually played with blind bets and antes; first two rounds of dealing are down (players keep cards private), then a flop of three cards, with bets after the down deal and the flop. Very common in casinos and used at the World Series of Poker.

Playing poker is a wonderful hobby and an engaging form of entertainment. Although many times in the past you may have found that you wanted to play poker but were not close enough to a casino to just hop in your car and run on in to take a seat at the poker table. This is where online poker gaming comes into the picture. Online poker is an increasingly popular way of playing poker from within the confines and comfort of your own home. As you are able to play many different types of poker games at casino establishments, online poker websites also make this type of variety with regard to poker games available to its poker players. Playing poker online via an online poker website is different in a few ways from playing in a physical casino environment. It is important to focus on those differences thereby enabling yourself to make the decision of whether or not playing poker card games online is the right option for you.

One way in which playing poker online and playing poker within a casino differs, relates to the betting limits which are imposed on the poker players. When playing poker online by way of an online poker website, the online poker player may not be required to put up as much money for an ante as the poker player that is playing this type of card game within the casino limits. This is one of the many advantages of playing poker in an online setting. Many individuals just want to play poker for fun or to make a little spending cash perhaps and are wary of risking large amounts of money in the process. The various online poker websites will allow the prospective online poker player to bet smaller amounts of money than the casinos will at times. This is an attractive feature of the online poker websites. If you are looking to spend small amounts of money, this might be the type of gaming situation for you. If money is no object, then maybe you will prefer to go to a physical casino. However, keep in mind that certain online poker websites will host higher betting limits.

Another way in which playing poker on an online poker website differs from the casino atmosphere is the lack of other players in your physical vicinity. Casinos can make a person become a bit claustrophobic after awhile and if you are the type of individual that likes his or her own space, then online poker gambling on a poker gaming website might just be the answer. When you are playing poker online you are playing against other individuals; however, the upside to this is that you are not crowded in a small, stuffy area with those other players breathing down your neck, trying to get you to hurry up and make a move. Not only can this type of player behavior on the part of your peers be obnoxious but it can also make you decide to play in a way which you would not have done had you been given the time and space to think the move through. This is a definite plus to playing poker online as opposed to in a casino. If you are keen on the idea as well, then again, maybe online poker playing is your cup of tea.

A third way in which an online poker website may be right for you is if you enjoy excitement and would like to play more than one game at one time. By playing the poker game in an online setting, you are able to play more than one game at one time. This is not possible in a physical casino setting since the only way an individual could be playing at more than one table at one time would be if that person had really long arms, which is highly unlikely. Therefore, by utilizing online poker websites you are able to play two or three games at once. The choice is up to you. If you have the concentration skills to pull this off, then this would be another attractive detail that might pull you into playing in an online poker game setting.

A final way in which playing poker games via an online poker website might be right for you is if you want the convenience of not having to leave your home in order to enjoy some gaming entertainment. Online poker websites are extremely convenient for a number of reasons. First of all, you do not have to drive anywhere in order to play poker. You simply log on to the internet via your internet provider, connect with a specific online poker website and get down to business. A second reason why online poker websites are extremely convenient is that they allow you to jump right into a game without ever having to wait for a seat to open up. Lastly, online poker websites are extremely convenient options for the avid poker player in that they enable you to pay money and collect money via a few quick touches of the keypad. Payment systems companies that act as a go between from online poker player to online poker website enable money to be transmitted quickly and efficiently from online poker player to online poker website thereby ensuring that either or both individual(s) are paid in a swift manner.

Online poker websites are a wonderful alternative to the casino businesses of the past. Not to say that casinos are out of date, this is just to provide an alternative to poker players that may be interested in checking out this different type of gaming avenue. If any of the aforementioned items seem of great interest to you, then maybe online poker playing is something that you should take a look at. It never hurts to give it a try. It may just be something that you are happy to have discovered and will change your impression of gambling forever.

Poker online – Playing poker in internet

Poker online - Playing poker in internet

We will not talk about benefits of playing in internet before offline playing, but we will see what advantages/disadvantages, specifics has the poker online.

Unlike offline poker, online poker playing sessions usually are much shorter, players at the table are changing very often, rarely a player plays more than one-two hours in a row. As a result, the players do not have time to determine opponents playing style, it is hard to have a reputation for a short period of time. It is impossible to understand when the raise in flop was made by maniac and it is possible to re-raise or by tighter and it is better to drop. The same is for reaction on your actions. By default, it is expected from a new player that he is middle adequate, but the majority will want to check your raise, so you have to bluff carefully.

One more distinction of online poker is the fact that nobody can see each other opponents and there are no real poker chips. There is no need for the online players to care about saving "poker face" – no need to worry that the look, sweat on the forehead or trembling hand will show up your bluff. Sometimes to move the pack of chips at the table is morally harder than to click the mouse. These factors influence online poker players behaviour resulting into more tricky and risky. Players bluff more often, more slowplay, check-raise etc.

Finally, online poker players often are not concentrated on the game. Somebody watches TV, talks on the phone or checks e-mails at the same time. Somebody is playing 2-3 tables simultaneously. It means that minimum attention is devoted to the game. Online players often look at the table only when they are playing themselves. it is clear that this is not the best practice, the more time is devoted to the game, the better you you’re your opponents, the better are your odds for success.

The above mentioned specifics of online poker allows to give the following recommendations:

1. Try to take away all distracting factors and devote all your time to the game with the purpose to "crack" your opponents more quickly.

2. Do not rely on your image, it is just impossible to be made. Do not rely that your bluffing raise will pass only because you have been playing tight for the last hour.

3. Do not be easily infatuated by poker tricks. In online poker the opponent plays according to the strength of his cards first of all, not thinking too much about your cards, so it is not necessarily that slowplay will bring you additional benefit, and bluff also is not often successful.

One more specific of online poker relates not to the psychology of the game, but to the internet – opportunity of disconnection of the player during the game. So that the player would not lose money because of the this, majority of poker rooms while disconnection make disconnect all-in. It means that the player’s cards shall not be dropped, but it is considered as the player has gone all-in on the amount of the made bets. Once the player goes all-in, a side pot is created, and the all-in player can only win the portion of the pot that was present at the time the player went all-in. The remaining money of the pot are played between the remaining players (the same approach applies while ordinary all-in). The number of all-ins is limited to 1-2 per day, if the player abuses this opportunity (generates all-in when he does not intend to bet much money), he may be deprived of all-ins.

Who Wins At Poker? Poker Basics

Learning the finer points of poker can only be done by playing the game. The rules of the many variations of poker differ, but one thing that always stays the same is what makes a winning hand.

Poker is considered to be America’s most popular card game of chance. People not only play it at a casino but they also play at home and online. Poker first appeared in America in New Orleans in the early 1800’s. The game spread quickly from Mississippi to the rest of the country by way of the railroads. Some of the more popular variations of poker are 5 Card Draw, Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha hi lo and Seven Card Stud.

Other casino games pit the player against the house. This is not true of poker where the players are trying to beat each other by having the best hand. If you play poker in a casino you will usually see limits that are posted to set minimum and maximum bets.

The majority of poker games are played with a deck of 52 cards. The value of the cards begins with the Ace as highest and twos as the lowest. An ace can also be used with a value of 1 in a low straight. In some games a card is designated as a wild card and can have any value that the player assigns to it. Winning poker hands are based on the ranking of the five cards that a player holds in their hand. Below are the rankings beginning with the highest down to the lowest.

A Royal Flush has an Ace, King, Queen, Jack and ten all of the same suit. A straight flush has five cards in sequence of the same suit such as 5, 6,7,8,9. Suits are clubs, hearts, spades and diamonds. Four of a kind is four cards of the same value. Next comes the full house which is three of a kind along with a pair. A Flush is five cards no matter their value that are all the same suit. A straight is five cards in sequence no matter what their suits. Three of a kind is three cards of the same value; two pair is two cards of the same value and another two cards of the same value. A pair is just two cards of the same value.

Sometimes 2 players will be tied so the rules applied are:

If both players have straights, flushes or straight flushes then the highest card of each hand will determine the hand that wins.

If two players have a full house the player with the highest value of the three of a kind is determined as the winner.

If two players have 3 of a kind or 2 pairs then the player holding the highest valued cards is the winner.

Poker is a game of strategy and chance and the rules are not difficult to learn. By playing and observing the game one can become quite adept at poker in no time at all. Choose one variation at first and learn the game well before going on to play other variations of poker.
